				  BUKHARA

Bukhara! For centuries it remained in the western mind as follows: the most secretive and fanatical among the great caravan-cities, organized at the speed of the desert against time and change. It is crossed on both sides by the Silk Road. Travelers, chroniclers, and historians call it: Holy Bukhara, the Beautiful Bukhara, the Islamic Dome, the pillar of religion, the beauty of the soul, the most intact city of the East, the most interesting city in the world.

The riches of Bukhara have been accumulated for thousands of years. Bukhara, which has built a new mosque for every day of the year, is truly worthy of the name of Holy Bukhara with its cultural and commercial life. If light falls from the sky everywhere else; The light shines in Bukhara.

Whether you’re visiting the Ark or exploring the Kalon Mosque and Labi Pool buildings, it’s sure to catch your eye from these wonders. Many people walk through the maze streets of the old city even though they know it.

Bukhara is the undoubted pearl of Uzbekistan. (perhaps given its dominant color, we should say sapphire). Samarkand and Khiva also have their own splendor, but if you stand on the 16th-century Kalon Tower, you will be convinced that you have never been in such a strange and magical place before.

Those who go out of town are also never upset. Outside the modern suburbs, the Bahauddin Naqshbandi complex is one of the busiest in Central Asia. Hundreds of guests also come to visit.

A century ago, Bukhara was irrigated with a network of canals and 200 stone pools where people gathered and drank. There were many diseases in Bukhara because the water did not change often; In the 19th century, the average Bukhara lived 32 years. The Bolsheviks modernized the system and drained the pools. It will take you at least two days to explore the area. Take as much time as you can to get around the old city, you won’t regret it at all.
